How It Began

Hi there! My name is Jacki Binsse, and I am the owner of GiaRo Botanica—a passion project that started right at my dining room table during the pandemic.

Like many others, I found myself stuck when all the stores in South Florida closed. There was nowhere to buy metaphysical products, and that just didn’t sit right with me. So, I did what any resourceful witchy soul would do—I started crafting my own. I made candles, oils, and other metaphysical items by hand. And as I experimented and learned, I realized something: if I was struggling to find these sacred tools, then surely others were too.

With the rise of eCommerce, I took a leap of faith and launched GiaRo Botanica on Etsy—and let me tell you, it took off. Like to the moon took off. The response was overwhelming, and as I built relationships with my customers, I saw the true demand, the passion, and the deep need for high-quality metaphysical products. That’s when I knew—this wasn’t just a temporary project. It was my calling.

Now, here we are, five years later, still growing and thriving—all because of you.

The Heart of GiaRo

GiaRo isn’t just a name; it holds deep personal meaning. It’s a tribute to two people who have shaped my life—my firstborn, Gianni, and my grandmother, Rosie. These two have been my guiding lights through both the toughest and happiest moments, and it only felt right to name my business in their honor.

My Spiritual Roots

I am an Italian American who grew up surrounded by folklore, superstitions, and strong spiritual traditions. My personal practice is a mix of Benedicaria, Stregheria, and Santeria, and over the years, I’ve studied religion, saints, and candle work extensively. Candles, in particular, have been a huge part of my life, serving as a tool for guidance, protection, and manifestation.

One thing I truly believe? There is no “one right way” to practice. Everyone has their own path, their own rituals, and their own way of connecting with the divine. My goal with GiaRo Botanica is to provide a welcoming space for all spiritual seekers—no matter where you are on your journey.
